What is “A Hill in my Hood” ?
I’ve been looking for a way to live a slower, better life. For a place where the air is cleaner and the pace is more human. Where everything comes directly from nature, unprocessed, without any chemicals. A special place where I can celebrate my body and its needs in an ethical and sustainable way. Where I can find beauty through simplicity and every moment is authentic and pure. In a city full of noise and clutter, I’ve been looking for a hill in my hood.
‘’A Hill in my Hood’’ is a concept store which aims in reconnecting with the organic, local, qualitative and friendly element. It’s about a place inspired by the movement of slow-living, which we need more day by day. By composing a spherical philosophy connected to the small but important aspects of our everyday life, we dream of a world where the satisfaction of our needs doesn’t entail to burden others and the appreciation and enjoyment of everything nature has to offer comes purely and not greedily.
In our Hill, one can find organic clothing (made out of 100% organic GOTS certified cotton – ethically produced), organic mountain tea from mountain Olympus in seven different varieties, fair-trade jewellery, soy candles, beauty treatments, different kinds of massages, organic well-being products and more. With all the above, we give our customers the opportunity to experience a whole well-being and we suggest alternative ways of wellness with pure raw materials. Our only rules ? Everything we offer has to be vegan, fair-trade and sustainable.
Our store is in Ymittos area, supporting the idea of decentralization and the promotion of new ideas in the suburbs of the city. We dream of the neighborhood we grew up in, to become a meeting point of people who search the way to get in touch with the natural element and balance it with their urban life. Here where time slows down and love for the small everyday moments of beauty blossoms.
Welcome @ A Hill in my Hood!

Close observers of Alessandro Michele’s entourage of collaborators and muses will remember Jayde Fish, the San Francisco based artist discovered by the designer on Instagram and later tapped to supply gorgeous, whimsical illustrations for the Spring 2017 collection. Early this month, Fish made yet another visual splash, this time in New York’s Soho.

Not strictly vegan? No worries!
As if signaled by the cherry Kool-Aid dye job on model Sean Levy, which sent shockwaves through Saint Laurent’s show this week, a gang of crimson-haired street-style stars has taken over Paris. Among the redheaded trailblazers out in full force: Grace Coddington, whose legendary curls billowed in the breeze, and Lynn Yaeger, whose ruby bob coordinated.

What we’re doing is a real exploration in black, explained Pat McGrath, surrounded by pots and palettes of pitch-noir powder and cream. The legendary makeup artist was backstage at Marni this morning, where creative director Francesco Risso had commissioned a pretty, punk-inflected look for his Fall 2017 debut at the Italian house.
